don't mind that my basement isn't finished - the focus here is the row of pictures along the ceiling
these are my kids - my seminary kids that i've taught over the years I take them with me where ever I go.
Just to name a few things I remember...
- The scripture mastery games.
- the Time carl took Dustins Hat - does he not know 'you don't touch another man's hat?'
- the videos.
- the time the light turned on in Ben's eyes and I knew 'He gets it!'
- the girl who was to shy to come into class and sat in the hall to just listen
- the boy who curled up in a ball and slept
- Sam and Justine who held hands under the table
- the friendships, the bonding, the reenactment of the scripture stories
- The fights - really jason and mike or was it Danny???
- the cuss words behind the sliding chalk boards making the teacher speechless
- the home gatherings
- the breakfasts
- the putting scriptures to music
- the zones
- the presidents
- the analogy of brushing your teeth everyday vs read, study and ponder your scriptures everyday.
- the love
- the fact that I was blessed and had the privilege of teaching my own
- the one time Rob came to class and was "Student of the Month"! (really he came more than that but he only remembers that one day!!
- Heather who had to leave early to go make "Coffee" for one of the teachers at school every morning
- Annie who lead our seminary choir
- Carson who had to have eggnog
- Micah who taught me to always do the dishes before the seminary class came over to eat!!
- Troy the Football hero and even with a broken arm and the all the girls wanted him!
- Carissa and her nerf ball
- we are all of us each year a family forever
- As a seminary student I remember the teacher who got me through my sophomore year
- I remember the teacher of my freshman year that Debbie and I tormented! I am so sorry Brother Randall.
- Those peers of mine that stood in front of the seminary building smoking.
- The testimony we've all built, thru studying the scriptures together everyday.
